Saliya Senanayake

Chairman/Managing Director


He is a well known personality in the shipping industry in Sri Lanka and worldwide, having served the industry for nearly 40 years. Until 2010, he was the Group Director (Commercial) for Ceyline Group (starting from 2005). The Group represented Senator Line (subsequently managed by Hanjin Shipping), China Shipping Container Line and Samudera Shipping Line.

Prior to that, he was based in Dubai for 15 years. Initially as Regional Director for Sea Consortium (Xpress Feeder Group) and thereafter as Regional Managing Director for Samudera Shipping Line

He started his shipping career with Ceylon Shipping Corporation (national carrier) in 1972, and served as Head of Operations Europe and Far East Container Services during the initial days of containerisation . He also held the position of Regional Representative for Europe (based in London from 1981 to 1985).Subsequently he worked as Director/GM for P&OCL agency in Sri Lanka and then as Managing Director of Delmege Forsyth & Co.( agent of MOL / SCI/ Seacon in Colombo), before leaving for the posting in Dubai.

He has a wide experience in Liner shipping as well as the Feederbusiness, and has built up a strong reputation in the international and local shipping & logistics industry.

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), and holds the prestigious position of International Vice President of CILT, and is a past Chairman of CILT Sri Lanka. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Port & Shipping Administration from the University of Wales –Cardiff.

Ananda Senanayake

Executive Director


Mr. Ana Senanayake holds a BSc in Management Science from Warwick Business School, UK. He has spent the last 6 years working in Investment Banking representing banks such as Lehman Brothers and The Royal Bank of Scotland both in the UK and Singapore. He now serves LSL Group as Executive Director overlooking projects & business development.

Mrs Senanayake started her career in the medical profession in the UK. Later moved to general administration of a medical institution in Sri Lanka. Presently heading HR/Admin of the Company.

Dr Ruanthi De Silva

Director- International Business


Dr Ruanthi joined the LSL board earlier this year. Her last role was Global/Corporate Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Bernhard Schulte Ship Management (BSM) Group which manages over 650 ships operating from over 23 offices around the world, Ruanthi brought about a new culture to the supply chain and procurement aspect of Ship management.
Ruanthi’s strategy and concept of SCM for this ship management company won the Best Practices Award for SCM in Hong Kong in 2004.
Ruanthi also has had the rare privilege of being the Godmother to one of the Schulte Group Ships – Christening Henrika Schulte.
Ruanthi ‘s professional journey of almost 4 decades, spans across a few nations. Since venturing out in 1981, she has lived and worked in Singapore, Paris, Australia and Hong Kong whilst also traveling to over 25 countries on assignment.
She has worked for and Consulted to some of the world’s best maritime companies, such as Neptune Orient Lines, Hapag Llloyd, P&O NedLloyd, Sea Consortium, Samudera, Thomson Clark and Inchcape Shipping Services, where she has held senior management and consultancy positions.

Manik Wijeyeratne

Finance Director


Mr. Manik D S Wijeyeratne, the Finance Director of the company , is an Associate Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He received his training at Ernst & Young and is a board member in blue chip corporates and holds senior positions in various independent committees in Sri Lanka.
